Anna Hinterberger can often be encountered in the herb garden, where she is delighted to pass on her knowledge about healing herbs to her guests and anyone who is interested. Her husband, Hubert Hinterberger jun., uses fresh herbs from the herb garden in his gourmet cuisine and his sister Cornelia Hinterberger can generally be found here and there in the hotel to see to your needs and requests. Three generations of the Hinterberger family provide a holiday home from home where you will feel great.
After the construction of more rooms and the tennis hall, on 06. May 1979 Tennis Hotel at Wolfgangsee opened. This was a sensation at the time - a South African tennis school for guest tennis lessons here at Wolfgangsee. Success was not long in coming.
With personal commitment and a particular flair for the needs and wants of their guests, the hotel continued to be further developed. With an extensive Wellness and Spa selection. With its indoor and outdoor pools the Tennis Hotel moved on and became 4* Vitalhotel Wolfgangsee – an exclusive wellness hotel with an extensive tennis selection and was renowned for its outstanding cuisine.

Looking forward, the offers continue to be expanded upon. In the last few years thanks to the children's farm and other leisure and relaxation offers, an extensive selection became available for families who wanted to enjoy a nature-oriented holiday at Wolfgangsee and for sports-oriented people enjoying a holiday in the Salzkammergut, who also want to explore the region as well as enjoying the amenities in the hotel.
