Visitors enter the idyllic Advent market through one of the two giant Advent gateways. The lantern street, which takes you to the Christmas market at Wolfgangsee, has hundreds of festively decorated fir trees, and burning torches and metre-high lanterns are also lit to create a romantic festive ambience.

Experience a Baroque Advent in St. Gilgen with stalls bedecked with elements of Baroque style, showing Advent scenes. An eleven metre candle reveals the way on the path in the town of St. Gilgen. Strobl reveals itself as a romantic crib village – a shepherd's path leads the way to the Advent gate and cribs in various guises are encountered on the route. A tapestry of sound, with genuine popular music from the region, provides a special ambience.
